The citizen test is free of charge only for certain asymptomatic groups of people as of 30.06.2022:

• Employees, visitors, treated or residents of care and medical, as well as institutions for integration assistance (§4a Abs.1 Nr. 5)

• Caregivers in the sense of § 19 Satz1 SGB XI, (§4a Abs.1 Nr.9)

For the following groups of people, the citizens' test is unfortunately no longer free of charge as of 16/01/2023 and 25/11/2022:

• Persons for whom a test is required to end quarantine, (§4a Abs.1 Nr.4).         

• Household members of infected people, (§4a Abs.1 Nr.10)

•  Children under 5, (§4a Abs.1 Nr.1)

• Persons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, (§4a Abs.1 Nr.2)

• SARS-CoV-2 study participants, (§4a Abs.1 Nr.3)

Unfortunately, the citizens' test with a 3 EUR co-payment was repealed with the legislation published by the Bundesanzeiger (Federal Gazette) on 24/11/2022 and valid from 25/11/2022.

In order to enable you to continue testing, we offer you a low-priced self-payment test for 5 euros as an alternative.

Unfortunately, we are no longer allowed to offer free rapid antigen tests within the framework of the new testing regulations. 

Alternatively, we offer you the possibility of booking a self-paying rapid antigen test.

PCR retests are still available free of charge (after a positive rapid antigen test result).

For the protection of our staff and other test subjects, we would ask you not to enter the test centre, but we would ask you to take the swab at the window.

Rapid antigen test: 

Antigen tests can directly detect the pathogen after approx. 15 min*, but must meet certain test criteria to be meaningful. We only use tests that are listed by the Bfam in coordination with the RKI and the Paul-Ehrlich Institute.

If you want to know before meeting family members or friends, before visiting a hospital, nursing home or similar institution, or before returning to work, or if you need to prove that you are not currently transmitting SARS-CoV-2 viruses, the rapid antigen test can provide clarity in a short time.

PCR test

Travel:

PCR tests are used for direct pathogen detection and are often requested by the respective airlines or authorities for outbound travel or by travelers returning home. These are evaluated by our corporate laboratory and the result is transmitted within 24 to 48 hours*.

*In 2% of cases, the result may be transmitted with a slight time delay. 

PCR retesting

With an official positive test certificate (confirmed by a doctor, pharmacy or test center or letter from the health department) you are entitled to a free PCR test.

Rapid antigen test: 

The Corona rapid antigen test used meets regulatory requirements and consequently can detect SARS-CoV-2 with a very high probability. Its specificity (accuracy in identifying non-infected individuals) is 100%, and its sensitivity (accuracy in identifying infected individuals) is 96.36%.

PCR test:

The greatest advantage of the tests is their high accuracy. Their specificity (accuracy in identifying non-infected persons) is at least 99%, depending on the test, and their sensitivity (accuracy in identifying infected persons) is at least 98%.

First you will receive a booking confirmation. 

After we have performed the smear test on you, you will receive another email after 15 minutes. Click on the button "Get test result" and enter your birthday to get your test result.

You can either download the regular test certificate or use the "Probatix Day Pass".

We will check with you if your e-mail address and date of birth are correctly registered in our system.

You may generally book the Corona test yourself from the age of 18. Parents may also book a test for their children who are not yet of age. If you are 14 or older, you may also book the Corona Test if you can present a declaration of consent from your legal guardian. Under 14s may only take the test if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Our test results are documented in a report. The test person's contact details (name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth) are of course part of the report, but also the type of test, the manufacturer of the test, the swab and, of course, the result. Of course, the date and place of the test are also found on the report.

In very rare cases, the rapid corona test may not provide a valid result. In this case you will be informed by us immediately and you can repeat the test directly and free of charge

Rapid antigen test:

If your test result is positive, we strongly recommend that you immediately go into domestic quarantine. Since this is a notifiable disease according to the Infection Protection Act, we will automatically inform the public health department of your findings. After a positive rapid antigen test, the findings should be urgently checked by means of an additional PCR test.

You are welcome to book your PCR test with us, this is free of charge in case of a potitive antigen rapid test.

PCR test:

In case of a positive test result, in the vast majority of cases you will have to go into quarantine and will receive further information from your local health department.

In case of a negative result, your quarantine may be terminated.

When you call up your test result, you have the option of transferring it directly to the Corona Warn App (CWA) or to the Luca app. All you have to do is select "Use Corona-Warn-App" or "Transfer result to Luca-App".

HAVE YOU DOWNLOADED THE "MY LAB RESULT APP"?

The easiest way to get your result is via the app "Mein Laborergebnis". 

To do this, open the App Store/Play Store on your smartphone and enter "Mein Laborergebnis" in the search field.

1. Download the app to your smartphone

2. Now open the app "Mein Laborergebnis".

3. Press the "Scan QR code" button and scan the QR code you have received on the slip from the test center

Now your result should appear

If you press the button "Anhand/Attachment" you will get to the result. Enter your date of birth in the form (DD.MM.YYYY).

Now your official PCR result should appear, which you can present to the health department or when traveling.

If you do not have a smartphone or do not have the ability to scan QR codes you can also access the result via the "Mein Laborergebnis Website".

1. Open your browser and search for www.mein-laborergebnis.de

2. In the white box, enter your 32-digit ID, which you will find under/above the QR code on the piece of paper you received from the testing center.

3. Click the "Get Result" button

Now your result should appear

If you press the "Anhand/Attachment" button, you will be taken to the findings. Enter your date of birth in the form (DD.MM.YYYY).

Now your official PCR result should appear, which you can present to the health department or when traveling.

ERROR MESSAGE: SAMPLE ON THE WAY/NOT IN THE SYSTEM

If this error message appears, the sample has not yet been evaluated. We ask you to be patient. If this error message still appears 48 hours after test collection, please call us at 0551/ 99 888 108. Our office hours can be found on the website.

INCORRECT DATE OF BIRTH/ATTACHMENT BLOCKED.

Please make sure that you enter the date of birth in the specified format (DD.MM.YYYY) when retrieving the attachment.

If the error message still appears after multiple entries, there is most likely an error in the system. In this case, please contact us at 0551/ 99 888 108. You can find our office hours on our website.

FINDINGS WITH INCORRECT DATA

Unfortunately, it sometimes happens that handwritten bills are transferred incorrectly into our system. Therefore, please be sure to check your report for the correctness of your data.

If the data is incorrect, please call us or the lab at 0551/ 99 888 108. 

RESULT BY E-MAIL

As a rule, we do not send PCR results by e-mail.

In exceptional cases, which have been discussed with us by phone or e-mail, we will send the PCR result to your e-mail address in a password-protected form.

NO INTERNET ACCESS

If you do not have any of the above mentioned possibilities to get the result, we will gladly send you the result by mail.

After comparing your data, we will be happy to send your results by mail to the address given in the test center.

Unfortunately, delivery to a different address is not possible, so please make sure that your data is correct before taking the test.

In principle, our tests are also suitable for travel abroad. However, we would like to ask you to contact your tour operator or the responsible foreign office in advance of the trip to inform yourself about the latest regulations of the destination country, as some trips require more than just a valid Corona test. The type of test required depends on the regulations.

If you need a PCR test, please check in advance if the test result can be older than 48 or 72 hours, this can vary from destination to destination.
